Graduating from University in Leeds with a BSc (Hons) in Information Systems, I have spent my entire working life, more than 30 years, working in IT. I have a passion for cybersecurity, demonstrable experience in operating both at a Board and shopfloor level, and am a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP).
I have managed IT Service functions for both large and small organisations across several industry sectors as well as managing multiple digital transformations and critical IT programmes and projects. I pride myself in finding and fixing issues, be that in people, process or technology, and in reducing or removing risk.
I love GRC! I have attained and maintained Cyber Essentials (Plus) and ISO27001 in previous organisations and have extensive experience in improving both technical and procedural controls for businesses in relation to their information security posture. I like to ensure that IT is aligned to wider business objectives, to complement, not contradict the organisation's long-term strategy.
